Day 2 NEAC Championships

The Wells swimming teams had a great first day with four 1st place finishes, one 2nd place finish, two 3rd place finishes and 3 Wells records broken! On to day TWO where the PB and broken records continue.

Idolyn Villiotti (JR), Erika Bareiss (SO), Gabby Spencer (FR) and Britta Kilbourn (FR) started out the day with a win in the 200 Medley relay (2:09.21) for the ladies. The men's team followed with a 2nd place win (1:49.73) with Mike Scharvella (SR), Drew Teter (JR), Dan Schilling (SO) and Matt Sleezer (FR).

Chris Guard (JR) continued the success in the 400 IM where he earned 1st place by 9 seconds, earned a PB by 36 seconds and broke the Wells record by 15 seconds earning a time of 4:55.68.


The men's team grabbed some more points in the 100 fly where Drew Teter (JR) took 1st (57.70), Dan Schilling (SO) took 2nd (59.30) and Taylor Dunn (FR) took 3rd place (1:01.55).


Britta Kilbourn (FR) earned 2nd place in the 200 FR with a PB (2:21.18) and her team-mate Gwenn Lillie (SO) earned 6th place (2:29.96).


Erika Bareiss earned 3rd place in the 100 BR (1:26.45) while her team-mate earned 9th place and a PB (1:33.10). Hunter Harris (SR) also earned 3rd place with a PB (1:16.71).



The Wells team did very well in the 100 BA event with Gabby Spencer (FR) placing 1st (1:07.73), Idolyn Villiotti (JR) placing 2nd (1:09.63), Sarah Sherboneau (SO) placing 9th (1:26.95) and Emily Northrup placing 11th (1:31.74). On the men's side, Matt Sleezer (FR) earned a PB, a Wells record and earning 2nd place (1:01.64). His team-mate, Mike Scharvella (SR) earned 3rd place (1:03.71).]
